John started early, like most of us, catching lizards and snakes in his backyard at any chance he got. Over the years he has kept and bred more than 80 species of reptiles. In recent years his focus has turned to specializing within the genus Eublepharis. He has worked hard at pioneering some of the most beautiful and cutting edge leopard geckos out there and has been at the forefront of genetic purity and honesty. He also keeps the most diverse collection of pure Eublepharis species in the world. He has coordinated with biologists around the world and has contributed DNA sampling and distribution range info to help sort out the cladistic relationships within the genus.
